Other Results (played on 18/9/22) (Atkins, Broadhurst, Chamberlain, D Green, E Hughes, Nolan, Oakley, Poole, F Price, E Roberts, Rossiter, S Walsh, Watkins, Watson)

Watford 6-0 Cheltenham Town

Watford bounced back from a defeat in the best possible way, with an emphatic victory Cheltenham Town. Andria Georgiou got her second goal in two games after just two minutes, her shot too much for Cheltenham keeper Aimee Watson.

Annie Rossiter then scored an impressive first goal for Watford. Kylie Nolan and Jade Bradley had chances for Cheltenham, but Anne Meiwald ensured that Watford were three ahead at half-time.

The second half continued in the same fashion, only more alliteratively, with Grace Garrard, Melis Mehmet and Flo Fyfe all scoring their first Watford goals.

Abergavenny 0-5 Cardiff City Women

Cardiff City Women were another side to get a big win when they travelled to Abergavenny.

Phoebie Poole has been excellent for Cardiff City Women and was rewarded when head coach Ian Darbyshire brought her into the starting line-up. And it was Phoebie who set up the opening goal when she picked out Danielle Green.

Chances followed for Zoe Atkins and Rhiane Oakley before Danielle Green got her second just after the half-hour mark. Phoebie came close to making it three before the half-time whistle, but her shot was saved.

In the second half, Cardiff City Women dominated, with Danielle Green close to a hat-trick, but it was the other Danielle, Danielle Broadhurst, who got Cardiff's third. The fourth came from Siobhan Walsh shortly afterwards with an assist from Seren Watkins.

Ian Darbyshire took the opportunity to make some substitutions, including taking the unusual step of substituting his goalkeeper. Emily Roberts made her competitive debut in place of Ceryn Chamberlain; there was also a first appearance for Evie Hughes. It didn't do Cardiff Women any harm and Rhiane Oakley got Cardiff's sixth.

Hannah Power, Ffion Price, Megan Bowen, Lily Billingham and Megan Saunders were also among those to feature for Cardiff Women.
